As a very active family who loves great food and wine we were not sure what would be the best way to spend our final afternoon/evening in Santorini… SO HAPPY to have chosen the 16:00 cooking and wine experience at Artemis Karamolegos! The staff was extremely welcoming. The grounds were beautiful. The wine was excellent, and the food and the experience were unforgettable! Chris (chef instructor) was phenomenal and a world of food knowledge! Phillip was an incredible wine host and both deserve praise for their work! Of note - GO HUNGRY AND THIRSTY! We thought we would only eat the portions that we helped prepare but spoiled with a sit down dinner and another bottle of wine with dinner (and also a desert wine!). We left incredibly impressed with every aspect of this experience and will highly recommend to personal friends.

This place has everything.
Amazing wines and amazing people. We enjoyed at the max. There is also Aroma Avlis Restaurant with mouthwatering dishes from the view and to die from the taste.
First we went to another winery with nice view but not nice service. After our concierge Jona from Aqua Luxury Suites recommended this place , we felt guilty we didn't listen to the first time. Jona was so right Artemis Karamalegos wines are one of the best not only in Santorini but in all Greece. Very high recommended place.

The best winery in the Santorini.
Our concierge of the hotel where we stayed give us the recommendation for the Karamalegos and trust us was the best experience in the island. The white local wine is the best , the staff is top notch, they have a restaurant called Aroma Avlisa a really mouthwatering dishes. They accommodate us even without reservation (Our original reservation was only for the wine tasting ). Very high recommended.

We visited the winery on their first day back. The tasting area was still being renovated but they accommodated us in the restaurant area. The atmosphere was very inviting and our sommelier, George, extremely knowledgeable. We had a great time and the wine was excellent!

We stayed at akra suites and visited the wine cellar there. Then the staff suggested we try the food and the wine tasting at the winery. An unforgettable experience.
Fani did for us the wine tasting. Very knowledgeable and professional. She was ready to answer all our questions and to adjust the wine tasting to our preference.
Later we had food at the restaurant.
Can’t recommend it enough.
All the plates were unique. Traditional with a twist.
The stuff we’re very nice and polite.
Can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you very much.

Nice place with some world class dishes. The restaurant is part of the winery. The service is awesome and so are the salads and the white aubergine mousse. The Seabass was nice but such a small portion that I thought I am in a three star michelin restaurant. The open wines are great and surprisingly they had a top rose by the glas

This is a MUST stop at this intimate Winery/Art Gallery/museum. We were here 10 yrs ago for our Honeymoon. We were blessed with someone telling us that we must visit! The family started this winery in mid 1800"s. The art gallery portion is built into the side of mountain. We were blessed to have the owner do the wine tasting our first visit. But last wk, Esmeralda, next in command, gave us the tour and wine tasting. She wasssssss amazing!! So knowledgeable! She went above and beyond for my husband and I!! It was very special to return to this hidden gem. I can't wait to return for our 15th anniversary!!
Getting there: From Fira, take bus going to Kamari, but get off in Exo Gonia. Just tell the bus driver Art Space. When leaving the winery, you may need to walk to bus stop 1/2 mile north or so.....some buses will not just stop to pic you up, but wave them down:):)

We stopped at Artemis Maramolegos as part of a wine tour of Santorini. Of the four vineyards we visited during our trip, this was our favorite! The outside seating space where they host the reserved wine tastings is divine and very comfortable. The staff hosting our tasting were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We tasted 6 wines and were served a cheese/meat plate as well. I don’t like sweet wines but their Vinsanto was the best we had all day. The Mavrotragano was ultimately our favorite, but all of the whites were superb as well. We would have stayed here all day if we could!

We loved the views, the service, the food and the wine! Our sommelier was very knowledgable and kind. The food was delicious. We loved the Aidani 2020 and the Nykteri 2018. Certainly worth a few hours to unwind, enjoy the sea views and forget about life!

The young lady who poured for us was darling and efficient. Unfortunate that she had to pour such horrible wine. My husband and I are from the San Francisco Bay Area, so we know wine. This wasn't fit to drink. Seriously! It's a pretty venue, but what we tasted was not drinkable. sorry. . . .

How much do the tasting tours cost? I have other things to do than call every attraction in Santorini to ask for their prices... It would be helpful to indicate them on the websites menu.

Do they have red wines?

Dear Mr Edgmont,
Terra Nera Red and Mavrotragano are both red wines produced at Artemis Karamolegos Winery. They are made from different grape varieties and both express the true character of this unique terroir.
At Aroma Avlis Food & Wine, the restaurant of Artemis Karamolegos Winery, guests have the chance to pair their dishes with wines produced at our winery or choose from our extended wine list wines from all over Greece.

I am going to me on a cruise, stopping in Santorini on September 1, 2015. Would a taxi be a good way to get to and from Artemis Karamolegos winery? Are reservations necessary?
Thank you.

Dear Tony,
A taxi would be the best way since you are going to be on a cruise and the available time on the island might be limited.
Concerning reservations, they're necessary so that you enjoy the tour and tasting and for us to keep our standards high...
