About Wildlife Adventures
In Abruzzo a third of the territory is set aside in protected areas. Three national parks, a regional park and more than 30 nature reserves. A visionary and tough decision by those who have made the environment their resource and will project Abruzzo into a major and leading role in green tourism. We offer several proposals accessibile to all those who want to discover nature and history of a region full of surprises. We propose hikes that allow you to move seeing beautiful views, often from unusual angles: interesting hikes through the least known corners of the Central Apennines and its small system of shelters. We believe that the environment has a very important role for people and for society and we work every day for this aim.

This experience consists of a walk in the park to the edge of a mountain. The walk is a bit long but not difficult (several stops will be made and, in the meantime, the very competent guides will tell you about the bear). You will be equipped with binoculars. After you have positioned yourself you will be able to observe the splendid panorama in search of the lost bear. The return will be spectacular, because in the dark in the woods, but quiet: you will be equipped with a flashlight and guided by the capable staff. Fondamental is the equipment: bring some spare t-shirts (during the ascent you will sweat a bit) and also some warm clothes (it's cold when you go up) and, above all, bring something waterproof, because even in summer it could rain (just like it happened to me). Finally you should also bring something to eat, because the visit lasts several hours. You should eat before you lurking, so as not to make noise when you are lurking and not to scare the bears.

What a wonderful and unforgettable experience ! these guys are extremely professional, they know how to prepare you a perfect day in a region (Abruzzo) which is one of the most beautiful place I have ever been. This company (wildlifeadventure) is definitely highly recommended. You won't be disappointed; the only danger is that you will become addicted to their activities...Thanks all, still got stars in my eyes...

This was a truly fantastic trip. I was on my own and drove down from Rome to Pescaserolli, which is a very scenic mountain pass drive for the last 45 mins. It was a 3 day wildlife tracking tour and eerything was well organized but also flexible for each day. Simone was an excellent guide, showing me different parts of Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo and telling me a lot about the history and wildlife. We were able to see a number of deer and were lucky enough to spot some bears on a distant ridge enjoying the springtime mating season. I would recommend Wildlife Adventures Italy in a second and encourage you to spend time with these great people in a stunning corner of Italy.

I have just got back from a week's snowshoeing in Pescasseroli with a group. In spite of the weather (snow, rain and sometimes misty conditions) we had a wonderful holiday with Valeria as our guide. Wildlife Adventures are passionate about the region and Valeria loves sharing her knowledge of birds, animals and plants and the history of Abruzzo. She speaks good English and is always happy to answer questions. I am looking forward to returning to Pescasseroli in the summer and have already contacted Wildlife Adventures and asked them to organise hikes for me and my family with a night in a mountain refuge.

We visited Pescasseroli for a week end of August/beginning September 2016. There were four of us interested in wildlife and photography. Wildlifeadventures have some good group trips, but we booked a personal guide for three days. Umberto and Valeria could not have been more helpful - both speak speak very good English. They tailored excursions to suit our needs and abilities and to work with the weather and wildlife. Valeria is a fabulous guide, knowledgeable, considerate and great fun! We had fabulous wildlife experiences rutting deer, chamois and good views of 5 or 6 bears - wonderful. Wildlifeadventures certainly delivered but were sensitive to wildlife and conservation at all times.
