This year is gonna be my 7th year in a row (20th anniversary). I have luckily had the opportunity to enjoy many festivals. The organization, the line-up, the people, the customer service, is simply awesome.

7 stages, landscape around (lakes, ponds, trees), facilities (toilets in everywhere), massage and food areas, etc, etc, etc!

As the only "negative" point, it's become too "popular" in the sense that the looking back 7 years, I mainly met up local people. Anyway, no wonder. They are making improvements every year.

Awakenings 2018 was my first time at this amazing festival. Firstly, there were no queues, wether you were buying food, drinks, using the toilet or getting inside the festival. The prices were ok, not too expensive and the food was very tasty. You could find free tap water near every stage and i’ve found that to be very cool. Most of the festivals i’ve went to don’t have free water.
But the coolest thing at the festival was, of course, the music and the stages. The music and the artist booked were simply amazing, i could not think to an artist that played bad. The stages and the lights were pretty impressive and well done along the quality of the sound. And last but not least, the crowd was amazing, all the people dancing and having a good time. I saw very few people texting their phones overall.
I will be returning the next year with more friends at this amazing festival.

Another brilliantly organised festival in Holland. By far the best techno festival I’ve been to. Looking forward to the next one :)

In 2020 i bought two tickets for the 20th years anniversary summer festival. And after 2 years of not asking for my money back as solidarity to the cultural sector and to awakenings.
My tickets were automatically converted to the “not sold out” easter tickets in April. Apparently there was an email send out but i never got it. After explaining this and asking to convert this back to the summer festival, i only got the lousy answer that the deadline is over and got send a link to ask for a refund.

Apparently solidarity doesn’t go both ways.

You got to be there to experience the magic of the techno music the DJs/Producers bring to the event! The vibe is awesome in every aspect and the location is perfect for such an event! Thank you Awakenings!

Came with here friends for the first time in 2019.

The organisation of the festival was very good, there was also many free water stands and drink stands located around the event.

The music in 2019 was very good, although I felt there wasn’t enough shaded areas especially due to the high heat which was experienced.

This was my first time here and I went with my best friend who also enjoys techno just as much as I do 💃🌟🕺🏼

The sun was shining all day and sunscreen is a must-have 😅👹

The festival was great in terms of the DJs, the music, the atmosphere and all the happy technoloving people who were there. ❣️✌🏼🤩

The downside was the pricelist, and I know this is a business made to make money, but to charge 2,5 tokens for the first bottle of 0,5 liters of water is crazy.

In swedish money that is aprox. 80 SEK. (7,5€)

Save the bottle and recycle it and you only pay 1,5 tokens for the next. Thats still around 50 SEK (5€) for the second half liter.

Luckely there are waterpoints to refill the bottle for free. 🙂💦

The other negative part that I heard a lot of people complaining about was the long walk from the shuttlebus drop-off point.

20-30 minutes walk to get to the entrence. This should be alot less.

Overall a GREAT experience, with some possible improvements to make 👏🏼🙂

Went to the Saturday of Awakenings 2018 in June. First time visitor. stayed in Haarlem as opposed to Amsterdam.
The Dutch just know how to do these things well.
Amazing weather, spotless loos, didnt queue up for anything, always plenty of space to dance like a maniac, sound systems and lighting rigs for each of the 8 indoor and outdoor areas all very well done. Most importnatly of all, Mega tuneage.
All in all - cant wait to go back for next year !!
Only bad bit was the shuttle home - long wait. Ended up giving up and taxing a vastly overpriced Eutaxi for a 15 minute ride.

By far the best techno festival around. So well organised from the shuttle buses that run constantly to and from the festival site and the token paying system for food and drinks, to the signs dotted all over that say who is on each stage at each time and the drinking water stations at each stage. No long queues anywhere, not overcrowded and reasonable prices for everything inside. The free sunglasses are a nice touch too! Will definitely be returning.

Went to the festival 24th June and had thee bestest time ever!!!
The techno house couldn't get any better ...my dj gods award goes to the critically acclaimed Adam Beyer ....and Joseph Capriarti.

Flown over just for this festival and it didn't disappoint.

Rubbish points were.... the walk from the shuttle bus to the entrance was pure torture ....20 minutes long was awful and at the end the walk to the taxis was as long but the alcohol helped a little lol.
Next was the same alcohol ......they didn't have a good selection.

On the whole ...fantastic day!

Thank you awakenings
