Dropped into Albert Beerens without booking and have spent very enjoyable afternoon with the house technical Manager (Olivier)and commercial Manager, doubling as guides. Their English and hospitality were fantastic. Tasted all 6 of their Cuvees with taste guidance and explanation about them all, it helps that Olivier actually blended and made them. The process from planting, pruning, picking through to the end product was fascinating. We were invited to go back tomorrow to see the sediment being drained and the sugar to create the bubbles process. But I think I prefer the end product. If in Cote Du Bar, then this is a must, more friendly and welcoming than the larger houses.

A visit to Champagne Albert Bergen’s is highly recommended. Set on the edge of a beautiful village in the Cote des Bar, it is a family run business that produces fine champagne. The degustation was excellent with the various champagnes being exactly described. It is not all about the champagne though, the explanation of the processes and business were hugely informative. It is great to listen to someone speak with such passion about a business that means so much to them.

A group of us had a tour and fantastic meal at Albert Beerens. The tour was interesting and informative. Everyone that worked there was kind and generous with their time. The lunch, cooked by a Michelin star chef, was awesome. And of course the champagne was amazing. Absolutely go see them if you are anywhere in the area.

Highly recommend a tour of the Albert Beerens vineyards and facilities. It was excellent and informative and our host was absolutely lovely. The small charge was well worth it and despite the champagne being slightly higher priced than others it ranks amongst the best we have tasted! Fabulous back story and a lovely touch with the souvenir photo thrown in!

Stopped here for a tasting. The reception was very friendly, too bad we could not visit the cave at the moment.

Tasted 3 of their cuvees, the blanc de noirs was a real discovery! Will come back for sure to do a tour of the vineyards and cave.
