One of the best covert and unofficial tourist attractions in Poland. It is located in the heart of beautiful lake district called Kashubian Switzerland in Northern Poland. Construction work of the castle began in 1979 and was never finished. It was stopped due to financial problems that ended up in bankruptcy of owner's enterprise. Mysterious and morose castle is hidden behind high walls and surrounded by dense woods. Visiting at dusk would make a visit more alluring and weird. The castle was really impressive to me due to its magnitude, uneasy atmosphere of empty rooms, gaping windows and extravagant towers. I was shocked and surprised when I visited one Saturday evening: I found myself among 40 or 50 young people wandering around the building, lighting bonfires, drinking and socializing. I realized that sad story of that place, bold construction project that had never been completed created a fascinating, unobvious visitor draw instead.

A failed project in the middle of nowhere. People from the vicinity spread rumours that a wealthy joiner from Gdansk planned a construction of a medieaval castle. Something went wrong and the works were put on hold. It is acctually fantastic that they were not completed. If finished this would have been the most trashy and probably the largest example of kitsch in this country apart of Stary Lichen church. A picturesque landscape around and the unfinished construction make you realise that you should not bite off more than you can chew

it is interesting to see the remains of an ambitious project that was ended in the 80's or so. Some great graffiti artwork has taken resident in the hallways.

Worth of seeing for everyone, but you need to know that its unfinished building and entering this area is illegal. Generally if you are caucious its safe. Do not go there when its late.

Beautiful to see and experience the large, imposing castle. Inside there are incredibly beautiful drawings that are also impressive. Unfortunately, many people leave their dirt behind and bring it inside.
