If you will be using the car park then it is important to know that it is National Trust. Members are free, otherwise follow the instructions to pay. Plenty of walking options and if you do not have a good sense of direction, then obtain a guide from the internet. There are shady options and open heathland. Relatively flat throughout. My walking has limitations but not hampered by the terrain. Snack bar in the larger car park if you are so inclined.

Open area of heathland with some nice views. Busy with lots of dog walkers but still a lot quieter than nearby Box Hill. There is a small herd of black and white Belted Galloway cattle grazing the heath and these are moved around during the year. There are notices saying where the cattle currently are, so you can avoid them if you wish.
National Trust car park is pay and display (£1.50 per hour for up to 2 hours, £4 for up-to 4 hours and£6 for 5 hours) or scan your card and park for free if a NT member.

Once you leave one of the two car parks [ we prefer the small one ] within a few minutes you cannot hear traffic, your mobile won't work...and early in the day or late, you might glimpse a deer.
In the day you can often see the "Belted Galloway" cattle, the very docile beasts who gently munch their way round the heath.
There are shaded wood areas, open scrubland, small ponds for all kinds of wild-life, and "children of all ages" will love it.
Thank goodness for this wonderful nature reserve!
Good footwear required.
When it rains it can get quite challenging underfoot.
Watch out for the cyclists who can be a problem to someone who left the hearing aid at home!
It's a joy to visit.

This is a lovely place to go with your dogs. It is far enough away from major roads to make you think you are really "In the Country", and not just a few miles from small towns.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Really lifted our spirits during miserable lockdown - helped us all physically and mentally.

We enjoyed a strenuous walk on the hottest day of the year. Very secluded; quiet; we didn't see a soul.

I love it here. I regularly come here to walk my dogs(from nearby Reigate). It reminds me of my favourite place, the New Forest( minus ponies!) Especially lovely in the summer as my dogs love paddling in the ponds and cooling off. Great for long and shorter walks, then a cuppa courtesy of the mobile burger van in car park!

It was a popular venue for the Boxing Day "walk off Christmas Dinner" brigade - there were so many people there, all friendly and i good spirits, and dogs were obligatory I think!
A marvellous place, with lovely views and so many permutations on the walks that are possible
