We travelled from the Thai side, leaving our car at a supervised parking (50Baht) overnight and caught the free ferry across the 40 metre wide river to the Burmese side. No customs, no immigration controls (the two governments have agreed this a 7-day visa free zone). The complex has seven gaming rooms, two restaurants and a hotel. There is a duty free shop with a wide choice of goods at prices far lower than the recently renewed Thai Airports monopoly (King Power). Note that there are several customs check points on the roads out of Mae Sot so it is important to respect the Thai customs limits for duty-free goods. The restaurants are attractive but their food is mediocre - my hamburger was especially bad - there is a micro-brewery in the Myawaddy Complex bar which brews five decent quality beers. Care should be taken to avoid the many stray, sickly looking dogs both inside and outside the complex. Outside the complex the poverty of the town is striking and depressing but we counted three more casinos and a large hotel under construction. Photography is widely discouraged by aggressive guards. Though credit cards can be used it is wiser to pay in cash with Thai currency.

This is THE place to stay in Myawaddy and its not because of the casino. The rooms are simply the best in the area, on the Myanmar side. And the restaurant serves amazing Thai food for bargain prices. I simply go there for the rooms, the food and games. The games are basic casino games, not a great variety but its more fun to watch the other players rather than your own betting on the smaller bet tables. The advice and analysis, is sometimes downright hilarious.

Myawadi complex is just located to the border side of Mae-sot city (Thailand). Its a one stop complex for your convenient. Included accommodation hotels, delicious restaurant for day & night, huge casino attached with in house dinning, coffee shop and of course duty free gift shop and liquor store. Foods are warm, delicious and fast. Only you can pay in Thai Bath currency. Also offer VIP bar and Lounge access. We didn't stay in hotel. But definitely will stay next time. :)

It’s a casino located right between Myanmar and Thailand border river, only casino located in Myanmar, Kayin State, Myawaddy Town. Using Thai batt currency as mostly are Thai people crossing the river by a boat to this place. It’s a good place to drop by if your around the area.
