Had a go at this area, since we were sweeping past Jagdalpur and wanted to see the falls. I will say it give this place a pass.

A rare and neat Anthropological Museum.
No fees , no rush. MAy be people do not getting attracted to content. But it is worth from many aspects.
The collection, the tribes, details, articles and neatness.
No doubt it can be improved but still maintained.

They do not charge , a guide would have made it more while displays are self explanatory.

Many article can can give you insight of living in a simple way.

Photography inside is not permitted.

Do visit .

Tribal Musium
Feb 2017 • Family
The musium is located on the way to Chitrakot waterfalls on your right side. Very neat and clean, well maintained. Opens 5 days in a week from 10 :30 am to 5:00 pm. A good collection of paintings, arms, clothing, bowl and many used things of the tribal community of Batsar district of Chhatrishgarh. Newly added Goal Gothul hut was awesome. Must visit place.

Interesting but poorly maintained and infested with mosquitoes

Nice photos, fantastic collections, but this (FREE) museum needs to give those artefacts the treatment they deserve (arrows are shockingly taped to the walls !!) Some captions are in English, but not all.

A peek into the tribal lifestyle
Oct 2016 • Couples
The museum contains varied display of tribal artifacts and religious paraphernalia. It also includes antique weapons, clothes, accessories used by aboriginal tribes in the Bastar region. Usually quiet due to less number of visitors, it is interesting to know about tribal culture and lifestyle.
