We spent two nights at this park when we visited Gibsons. The bathrooms are clean and tidy. The campground is about 1.4 kms. away from the beach which is accessible on campsite number 5. The walk going there is downhill so coming back is a little bit of a struggle for some seniors. The beach itself has an ever-changing views of the ocean because of the numerous ocean-going vessels and aircraft. There are no bathrooms in the nearby area so be forewarned! No facilities for buying drinks or foods either,

Spent many bbq's at this beach with my family, hours playing along the logs and finding treasures in the sand.

Enjoyed a take out fish and chip dinner here and loved the view. Easily accessible and worth waiting for sunset.

We planned to overnight here but it is not what we expected. The campsites are surrounded by very tall trees and so therefore quite dark. Although this was in the third week of June it was still chilly and with all the trees this made it very cold. It is also quite a way from the beach and the sites are not easily accessible unless you are very proficient at backing up. However they looked really clean and relatively level.

Anyone looking for a getaway not too far from Vancouver, this is it. Beautiful camping in rain forest coastal park. Close to the beach and hiking and groceries when you run out. 10 minutes to kayaking, good cycling and mountain biking. Did I mention that I love it here?

we were really looking forward to camping here but it was not open yet! We have been on the sunshine coast camping 15 years ago in April and remembered it was hard to find a spot open. This time we came in may. There are not a lot of spots to choose from even in May so it was disappointing.

Stayed 5 nights on our tour of the Sunshine Coast.
Beautiful, quiet camp ground. Large clean camp sights. Camp sites are a nice distance from one another for privacy. Park operator was very nice. Sani- dump available in the park, is a nice touch, wish all the provincial parks had sani-dumps.
Will stay here again on our next tours of the coast.

I have been in a lot of provincial parks in B.C., and this is really nothing extraordinary. It's also not open except for high season. The usual fare, big trees, around 20 feet between sites, NOT next to the ocean although you might think so from the location. The picnic area is a little walk down the road from the campsites, not next to it, and is MUCH nicer. Lovely stretch of beach, picnic tables, running water. There's no signs in the picnic area saying no overnight parking, so if you have a camper frankly I would just park it there. No overnight tenting/camping allowed in the picnic area.
If you have kids, keep going to the Porpoise Bay Site just down the road from Sechelt. It's very kid friendly with a playground and large group picnic area, big stretch of beach.

Great spot to relax and enjoy nature. Watch the cruise ships go by.

Great area to picnic by the sea.
