Spent some time trying to climb this with Central Asian Travel. Never managed to summit due to weather and came down early. Recommend making sure you take your own food to eat at camp 2 and 3 and water purification tablets.

We drove from Saty Mogul to Lenin Peak Yurt Camp; and stayed there 1 night. Teh area around is stunning, with great views of Lenin Peak. You can easily hike from here to many places, and walk around Turpal Kul and other lakes. You can also walk to Base Camps on Lenin Peak. The Yurts are quite basic as are the bathrooms; and it does get cold at night, The meals at the Yurt camps are basic, reasonably comfortable. This is nature, so be prepared for it.

We stayed at the base camp - not because we had any pretensions to climb anything, but as somewhere to stay in the area.
I would warn you that it is a very long unmade road to get to the camp, and if there is any rain (and I mean even a slight shower) the road is impassable as the mud makes non 4WD vehicles impossible. Leave yourself plenty of time to get to the camp before dark
The camp is only open in the summer climbing season and is 50 or 60 fixed 2 man tents. Most of their clientele are bearded mountaineers hell bent on getting to the top of Lenin Peak
Given its location and clientele, the facilities are fairly basic - an uninsulated tent is the dining room serving dinner and breakfast. Long Drop toilets. 24 hour electricity
Why go there - when we woke in the morning soon after 6am, there was a clear blue sky and the view of Lenin Peak and its surrounding mountains was a sight I will always remember

The Tulpar kol lake is just opposite the base camp Lenin Peak. You do a day hikes up to the glaciers of Lenin Peak from the lake. Actually, you dont need any permit to go there since you need permit to visit the base camp. You can have the same views and photos form the lake as you do from the base camp. No clouds in the morning and the view of the Peak was spectacular

we climbed this mountain as a national climbing team of Iran in 1 week from base camp. There are a few points
1. It is better to set camp 4 because there is a long way between c3 and summit
2. The carriers are not reliable here, And they may change the price at the last minute
3. Camp Pamir's services are the best there But the most expensive is also
4. It is could be a good idea to find the best place for a tent at Camp II, Because there are many glacier slots there

If you are coming from Tajikistan or driving to Tajikistan it's a fantastic opportunity to spend one night at the foot of Peak Lenin. There are three options: 1. At Sary Mogul, 2. In a yurt at Tupar Kul Lake or 3. At the base camp of peak Lenin. The From Sary Mogul you have nice view, but the mountain is quite far away. At Tulpar Kul you do not need special permit, plus the location is really beautiful and you can go for a nice hike. However, the yurt accommodation is very simple, with drop toilet outside. The Peak Lenin Base Camp has very nice conditions, the tents are set up with nice sleeping bags that are on some sort of bed, so you are not laying on the floor, there is electricity in the tent and you have light. In addition there are toilets and showers. There are many hiking opportunities starting from the Base Camp. You may walk up to the waterfall or further to camp 1 or 2. The way to the base camp is nice with yurts, herds of animals and Yaks. The mountains on the right and left side of Peak Lenin are also named after famous communists. They are all realy impressive to look at.

We have visited to Lenin paek base camp, calling Tulpar Kul Lake. Its a small and transparent lake, located at an altitude of 3,500 meters.
The lake is very much in contrast with the surrounding landscapes. The soil and hills around the lake are made up of red soil. Together with the green grass growing around and the white caps of the Peak.
Tulpar-Kul is within walking distance from Achyk-Tash – the base camp of Lenin Peak. Also, it is possible to reach the lake on horses from the nearest villages of Sary-Mogol and Kashka-Suu. We have booked tour for 3 days from Osh. Found on instagram Pegas Adventure. Helpful personal and quickly answered to my questions. We did with this itinerary
Day 1. From Osh to Tulparkul lake by car 5 hours. On the way we had lunch in Sary Mogul village. Arrival to the camp we had dinner with local foods.
Day 2: Hiking day to Travellers pass 4130m. Totally 7 hours go/back. Trek is not so difficult, only 1,5 km very steep other part very easy. Also possible to do horseback riding
Day 3: Back to Osh
This is the most beautiful places in south part of Kyrgyzstan.

We stayed in a Yurt operated by CBT in Sari Mogol which was located under the Lenin Peak. Was a unique experience, doing it for the 1st time, and I’d highly recommend doing it. We rode there ourselves on our motorbikes and it was quiet an adventure finding it riding out across the steps from Sari Mogol. The peak was covered in snow and the Yurt camp was about 100m or so below the snow line.

Do you know any trekking possibilites?
Written February 4, 2016
Yes, contact CBT (Community Based Tourism, Kyrgyzstan). I'm sure they will be able to arrange a trek for you. Bear in mind that the best time for trekking in that area is in the sping/summer, maybe autumn as well.
