Garm Chasma near Khorog was a bit underwhelming for us when we got there. Compared to some of the strikingly beautiful places we had seen throughout the ‘stans and caucuses, this was still remarkable stop but really just a drive to see some neat deposits,...More

Garm Chashma is really something. In the bright August sunshine, this place shines like a diamond - I recommend you bring sunglasses! Cover yourself in the white mud and dip in the hot spring. It's soothing and does leave your skin feeling really smooth and...More

We didn't take a dip, but for 20 somoni (just over $2) you can jump in a small artificial pool fed by steaming hot spring water. There is a new hotel across the river but it seemed closed, maybe because of low season.

Was in Khorog for a conference. We drove in a group to Garm Chashma, it takes about an hour, most of it on the road along the border with Afghanistan (the border is the river). I was expecting us to take to the waters, but...More

It is a well managed, comfortable facility to enjoy bathing in natural hot spring water. Area around the spring has also been nicely built with area to sit and enjoy snacks. I strongly recommend going there if you are in Khorog.

When I got there i was informed by a local or someone that worked there I had to use the private room, after reading other reviews this make sense as the main pool has rotating times. I used one of the pools in the rooms...More

Hot springs Garm Chashma are great for any skin problems as the water is hot and salty. Men and women's entry times rotate for everyone to enjoy the outside pool, if one group is in the pool, there is one large shed with a pool...More
