It's a small park in the center of a small city where you can find the tourist information center(they can provide tours for you such as climbing tours, safaris and...) and also a souvenir shop.
They have payed a lot of attention to tourists here so you can see English translations everywhere in the park. Would be nice to spend some time people watching,as you'll figure out the differences in lifestyle of Pamiris and Tajiks.

Khorog city park occupies several leafy blocks south of Lenin Street and west of Tash Muhammed Street. The park was renovated by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture in 2009. Planted poplar trees provide a canopy for a promenade along the Gunt River. A side stream has been dammed to form a swimming pool in the summer and a skating rink in the winter. Flower beds, paved walkways, statues, fountains, benches, a play area, open-air theater, restaurant and tea house make this a pleasant place for the whole family. It is a peaceful, shady place to stroll, bicycle, people watch, snack on a bench, watch kids play or walk along the fast-flowing Gunt river. The PECTA tourist information center (one of the best sources of information about and handicrafts from the Pamir mountains and the Wakhan valley) is near the park's eastern entrance gate. Several cafes, restaurants, banks, ATM and souvenir shops are nearby in the streets surrounding the park. The park is open from 6am to midnight every day, and there is no entrance fee.

The Khorog City Park is an amazing park near the edge of the city but really attracts a lot of people and seems to be pretty well taken care of too. Many people there who can show you around or point things out on the city skyline, never in my years did I think a place like Khorog existed and was successful, thriving and becoming a centre in itself. Lovely park in a lovely city.

Serene surroundings with a lovely outdoor pool.
Lovely areas of shade.
The park is very safe and worth a visit. The Serena restaurant is a great place for dinner, sitting over the river.

Quite nice place, right along the river and very green. Quite relaxing, except when loud music with booming bass is playing nearby. The restaurant that I rated is also in the park. PECTA, the tourist association is also in the park.

A good place to do people watching and the restaurant in the corner by the river is an ideal spot for beer.

Lovely and very lively park near a river. Big playground for kids and the Serena Café is a charming place to have tea or a meal. This is where you find the excellent Tourism Office and the nicest postcards I found in Tajikistan.
I was impressed to see many local people popping money in the collection boxes for the maintenance of the park.

The Park is a beautiful place to visit after walking through the town. The park is a gift from the Aga Khan, leader of the Ismaili Muslims which 99% of the population of Khorog belong too. The park has created nice center for people to meet and for children to play in. Would definitely advice everyone to visit when they are in Khorog. Also you can visit De'Pamir which is a handicraft shop at one conner of the park selling the local handi-crafts.

This beautiful park offers a sort of wide-lens view of Khorog - go with a local who can point out the new University, new water system, etc! It's combined with some botanical gardens and beautiful hand-carved wooden pavilions. Not a destination on its own, but certainly worth taking a few hours out of one of your days in Khorog.

This is a lovely large park where all the locals go after work to relax and meet their friends and families
It is towards the edge of town and was hosting an international music festival while I was there
Many dignitaries were in town including the ambassadors from the USA and Germaany
There are fountains and statues and lots of shade which is needed because it is very hot
There is a tourist. Enter there which offers maps and crafts from local artists
A great place to stroll
