The churchyard is beautiful, covered with trees. The smell of the old wood is strong as you walk past the large wooden door with a sign telling you to “pull the door with strength.” I got a peek inside far enough to notice that i...More

Very nicely kept old wooden church from year 1700. A must see if you visit Kristiinankaupunki. Interesting indoors; remember to check the balcony seating area too.

Love everything about the church. Starts from the outer side, it's very pretty, it took my mind back to the medieval time where the community used to visit church on Sunday. The open space before the church building gave that old day sensation, along with...More

Beautiful old church. Small but really well preserved from the year 1700. Gives you a serene feeling standing in the room. It's only open in the summer.

It is very beautiful church but it's small. It's open in summer. There are some rich peoples mausoleums(?) on the yard.

Stepping into the gated church area is like stepping into a different time. Everything is so genuinely timeless that you can sit down anywhere and go back in time - a real life museum, a snap shot of times long gone. Wonderful!

The original church burned and rebuilt in 1700. This over 300 yeard old church is mainly open in summertime and not used as a traditional church. If you visit the town, you might feel interested in more details of this building as it has a...More
