Worth the walk to see the canyon and experience just how vast it is. So peaceful and virtually deserted.

the views are stunning and we were alone in that beautiful place because the vast majority of tourists are going to Condor Cross. Cabanaconde by itself is worth to visit. So peaceful and authentic place with wonderful surroundings (much better than Yangue or Chivay).

This was the end of the road for our trip along the Canyon. After leaving our car by an old bill ring, we walked along the track up into the hillside to be greeted by amazing views over the Canyon. We came to watch Condors...More

This is a must visit and you should take your time here and enjoy. The views are amazing and it's actually quiet which is nice. There are a number of lookouts to stop and take good photos. We saw snow even though it was December....More

Definitely walk out of Cabanaconde to see the views! There are actually two viewpoints -- go out Bolivar street to the Bull Ring. An arrow at the bull ring points to the right, where we went first and has a view of the waterfall above...More

Really great views across the canyon, especially on a sunny cloudless day. I got a tour bus from Chivas and got there pretty quickly.

From this spot you have a wonderful view in the Colca Canyon and the surrounding mountains. It's not so difficult to walk in these areas.

We walked here from Cabanaconde main square, took about 30mins, then we carried on walking stopping there again on the way back to watch the condors. Very peaceful, only met 2 other people and a shepherdess

A little isolated. Take a friend along. Not to far out of town, I walked there. Wear strong shoes or hiking boots -- it's a rocky path to the edge.
