Husky Picnic includes a kennel visit, 1 km husky ride, meeting our Siberian huskies and a picnic in the teepee by open fire. Bring your own snacks like sausages and marshmallow. There will be coffee, tea and hot juice available from our side. From Tue till Sun beginning at 2 pm.

My warmest recommendation to Gegwen Getaways. The place is run by a great guy who does his work whole heartedly – the customer service was absolutely top. He has a team of over-excited furry workers who are also very child friendly and happy to receive cuddles. Our family (kids 7 and 11) was lucky to spend an afternoon with this husky pack and also try out the sledge ride. This was a birthday present to our 11 year old and it was a big success. She said it was the best gift ever and the rest of the family totally agreed. Thank you for the lovely experience. We hope to come back again one day!

This is something I have always dreamed of doing, and can honestly say i was not disappointed. The owner Erkki was lovely, friendly very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does which shows in his interaction with his dogs. The dogs are wonderful and very friendly, you can tell instantly that they love what they are doing. Erkki tells you all about what he does with the dogs and shows you photos of his safaris etc. The ride on the sledge I found was thrilling. After the ride we were invited into the teepee for sausages and coffee. It was a surprise how warm it was in there with the fire on. The sausages and coffee were delicious.
This is a gem of a place and if your visiting Helsinki it is well worth the drive out.

What a great time we had at Gegwen. It was so enjoyable and educational. The stars are the dogs. Erkki, the owner, is so passionate about his huskies and cares for them so well. His knowledge and eagerness to share this with you is great, he took time to explain everything we wanted to know about the dogs and sledging.
The dogs were all very individual, with most of them happy to be petted. My favourite was named "Vicious", which was funny because he was so calm and gentle.
The ride itself was around 5 mins. Which was long enough on a sub zero day. The dogs loved pulling us along and just wanted to keep running.
The hot coffee and sausages after in the warm teepee was welcome after being in the cold.

Great experience and wonderful huskies! Jakke, Jekku, Igor, Valo, Pissis, Ketku, Jörri and the others were adorable. Next group canceled their visit so me and my husband got a little longer ride than expected. After ride the hot juice, coffee and sausages were delicious. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone. Thank you Erkki!

It was really amazing to meet Erkki and his Huskies! We had an awesome time dog sledding, petting and observing cute huskies, learn about huskies and dogsledding and drink blackberry juice. Erkki is very patient and welcoming and answered all our questions. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone!

One of the best experience during my time in Finnland and definitely a reason to come back here! Me and my friends went for a husky ride and afterwards we got offered some sausages and hot drinks around a fire in a tepee. Big Thanks to the lovely dogs and their owner for making this day so special.

Nice huskyes, friendly service. The master of the dogs clearly cares for his pack.
Only 30 minutes drive from Tampere. Suitable for everyone. Very scandinavic experience.
We've visited this place three times already in two winters. Sometimes the weather can't be helped, but on a nice winterly day it's really beautiful.
