Small ancient Town on a hill top. Beautiful old stone houses and little streets. Panoramic view from top of the hill. Town is mainly abandoned apart from a few houses and 1 restaurant, no shops or cafés.

I loved the place. You felt the history so deeply that you just soaked it all in quietly. And the view there was simply breathtaking.

We were all amazed by this old village built on top of a rock. Only one inhabitant left. The legend tells the story of a pig thrown down the valley hundreds of years ago . The biggest piece found was one hear.

Wonderful to go back in time and see Marche how it was more than hundred years ago. We came in the rain but the view was still amazing. Could imagine it would be nice to come for a picnic on a sunny day.

Very impressive! The pictures taken at that time help us to imagine how life has been in a village in Le Marche till the 60's... not to mention the views over the surroundings.

Journey back in time in this wonderful village perched high at the top of a rocky spur. The village has remained like 100 years ago.

The joy of Elcito is that when you're up there you feel, and are, removed from this world, and able to see it and think about it from a distance. So it's best to go when as little as possible of this world is going...More
