Visited here with my sister mainly because this is where my Dad was in hospital when he was young. Very impressed with how well the gardens are kept despite the relentless hot weather. Well worth a trip.
Went to these gardens as they were close to where we were on holiday. Having been to many National Trust places, this was just as good. It has some lovely views and all the gardening staff are friendly. Would also recommend the Chinese garden and...More
Very lovely gardens but not a lot of flowers in bloom . If you love trees and woodland this is for you. Children have lots to explore especially in the woods. Good cafe serving nice food and nice plant sakes.
Compact but full of interest, this is a Victoria garden planted by an enthusiast. The original gardens are divided into rooms that take you on a journey around the world. Lovely tearoom and extensive plant shop.

Read about this place in a 'best gardens in the world' book and mentioned it. As we were local we decided to visit and there were a lot of people there but it was still peaceful.

Beautiful garden with such friendly and helpful staff who were on hand to answer any questions.
Lovely cafe where we had a cream tea.
Only disappointment was the daliah walk .
Will definitely visit again and hopefully get to see a better daliah display .

Hi, we stayed in Holiday Inn Express Stoke On Trent for a very reasonable price, we had access to a car though and was a 25 minute drive to the gardens but only about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Stoke-on-Trent. Sorry I do not know about public transport but I advise checking google maps and put in this option then it tells you which transport to take and how much walking it is.
