A lighthouse was first built on the Flamborough Headland in 1669 but was never lit. The current lighthouse was built in 1806 and acts as a waypoint for deep sea vessels and coastal traffic as well as marking the Flamborough Headland for vessels heading for the ports of Scarborough and Bridlington. Tours of Flamborough Lighthouse are organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House.

Not a lot here but a good place to visit, with great views and access to cliff to walks. The cafe provides a good range of food drinks. An information/visitor centre would add to the visiting experience.

The surrounding coastline is magnificent, we saw seals playing in the bay. Lovely paths to follow. Plenty of birds to watch as well.

Miles of foot paths to explore along the coastline - and when the tide is out - plenty of little caves to explore

A great spot. I ride out with each new motorcycle I get and have a photo in the same spot. Have done this with the last 7/8 bikes.

Interesting, especially to see the source of the honking at night in the fog.... About an hour or so could be spent here, not more than 2!!

Visited today, beautiful place. Views are beautiful, and the lighthouse is stunning. We were lucky enough to also sea two seals in the sea! There is a pub/cafe and a gift shop which sells all sorts of stuff. Well worth a visit.

I would say not because of the last bit up to where the light is. It's a narrow metal ladder.
