Impressive, the emperor must have been very relaxed here!

The architecture is impressive - the open area allows for winds to gush through. We went on a particularly hot day so we didn't see much of that, but even though it was painfully hot, as you step into the structure, the coldness of the stones comes through to cool you down. Unfortunately, the area inside stinks badly of what... More

One of the most beautiful structures of the palatial Fatehpur Sikri complex is Khwabgah or the Dream Palace. Built using red sandstone, the impressive edifice was constructed for the great Mughal King Akbar and was attached to the Daftar Khana (office) of the royal complex.

The dream palace for Akbar's personal use and meetings, stands over pillars. It is symmetric and so beautiful, I could almost spend the whole life here.

As name suggests, this was the part of Akbar's private place to relax and cherish dreams. Lake view terrace, nicely ventilated and beautifully designed building, takes your imagination wild to feel the superior quality of royal life. This is part of Fatehpur Sikri Fort, was used by Akbar for his private & personnel life

Now you can get into Akbar's bedroom to discover that he used to sleep on a terrace height bed. Again, part of the bigger fort visit.

Akbar's private residence. Khwaabgah or the Dream Palace, as the name suggests, is the most beautiful building of the royal complex and was conceived for the emperor's personal use.The bedroom was surrounded by a pillared verandah with a stone-tiled sloping roof. It was connected to the imperial harem. A must visit place in sikri but need little more maintenance. The... More

Khwabgah stands tall as a perfect example of Glorious architecture from yesteryear. The best way to relish this monument is to hire a guide and enjoy the stories untold in history books

Akbar's personal residence or Khwabgah is located at Fatehpur Sikri. Tourists can locate it within the Jodhabai's Palace.
