Lifeguards on duty July-August. Never crowded. some goose poop. Clear water. Sandy bottom. Great trail to Spine Beach or Westview boat launch. Dogs allowed further down the beach. Washrooms. Free parking.

Tobogganing in the winter, walking trails year round and swimming in the summertime. Very family/child friendly and safe. Sometimes the goose droppings get ahead of the city workers but all in all the city does a good job maintaining cleanliness.

It is a perfect beach spot! There is a large sandy area for beach play, a contained and supervised swimming area, a large rock to swim to and jump off for the big kids, a great playground, clean changing facilities. What more could you want!?

Clean sand & water is clean and clear, lifeguards are a nice bonus to have. Family friendly, dogs too, just keep them out of the sand & water to save yourself a ticket :-)
