Wow, we had a great time yesterday at the heavy horse centre. I was not convinced on our decision to go here as I'm not really a horse person and have felt let down by these types of attractions in the past. Upon entry my worries were laid to rest. Friendly and welcoming young lady on the front desk, then... More

Took several children of varying ages. They all had a great time. Staff were very friendly & knowledgeable. Got the chance to go for a ride in a carriage behind a heavy horse & the children went for a ride in a smaller cart as well. They got to feed the horses. Information available about the different horses & breeds... More

We made a visit as my Daughter loves horses and wants to be a vet in years to come and what a lovely day. How well laid out and lovely old fashioned buildings. The cafe was excellent and was decorated beautifully with the music going whilst you eat. Lots of picnic tables. The kids loved the drop slide. All the... More

I'd visited quite a few years ago & wasn't impressed. Zero health & safety concern. I was reticent to try again but how wrong I was. The improvements were clear to see. Fantastic. My two children were thoroughly entertained & the staff are a credit. Particularly Ashley, couldn't do enough to ensure a great experience for my 4 year old.... More

This as our 3rd visit. year on year the new owner seemed to have added to the attraction there is something for everyone. If your on holiday or a local to the area it's one attraction that you have to at least goes there once. The owner holds talks about the horses and knows all about the breeds thoroughly .

We looked for a place to go with grandchildren and it was local. We did not expect it to be so good. The attractions were all free (other than a very small charge for pony rides). There were rides pulled by horses, n excellent adventure playground, fair ground rides, pedal carts with their own track. The horses were the star... More
