Stunningly beautiful. Photos do not do it justice!! The bottom viewing level was pretty cold due to all the spray but a fabulous experience!! The cafe has a lovely lamb soup as well.

The falls themselves were amazing! Truly something remarkable. This is something you can’t miss on your trip to Iceland. One problem I found is that it was packed. Like a ridiculous amount of people which took away the joy as you needed to fight your...More

Gullfloss is a huge, wide, rapid double waterfall. It is a ways downhill from the parking lot, but worth the walk and there are stairs. Paths will take you as close to the falls as you want to get. The falls disappear into a deep...More

This waterfall is part of the "Golden Circle" tour and is a great sight. It is possible to view the falls close up from two spots above it- from directly ahead and from the left (which you get to from a side path)- or go...More

This was a stop on the Golden Circle tour and well worth it. There is a well worn path going down from all the amenities to an excellent viewpoint. For those, more adventurous than me, there is a 100+ step down to the ravine for...More

We visited it in Winter (mid-January) and it most parts were frozen.. One of the best scenes I've ever seen in my life!

Impressive, multi layer waterfalls that fall into a gorge. We visited in mid November so the walk up the pathway for the view was very cold but the views from the top were beautiful.

Huge water falls, the noise is quite impressive, the site is well organised but the little way to get near the water falls is quite dangerous if the temperatures are close to zero because it gets frozen and slippery. I don't think small children's trolleys...More

Gulfoss Waterfalls are a must-see on your tour around Iceland. So much water thundering down! The pathways are easy to navigate, but wear non-slip shoes, as the stones are damp from all the spray. Have enough space left on your memory card, you’ll need it,...More

On a 6 hr bus trip and stopped off at Gullfoss to see the sights and do lunch... no eating allowed on the coach...fair enough. The Gullfoss waterfalls are impressive, but the extensive menu in the large cafe had zero vegan options on offer so...More

Where are you staying? In which town? The Golden Circle is a must-see and it certainly is worth a detour.

We were on the Golden Circle EXPRESS tour which gave us 45 minutes there in very extreme weather. If the weather had been clear, we'd have wanted longer (not least to walk down the route that was closed on the day we were... More
