Gullfoss was the number one highlight of the Golden Circle for us. Absolutely fantastic. Be sure to go to the upper and lower levels to get all of the views. Was really amazing. One tip- at the visitor's center and gift shop, you'll see a...More

Wife and son went to see other falls that were an hour hike off the road. My younger son wasn’t up for a hike, so we drove to Gullfoss. We had a decent lunch at the visitors center. That place isn’t quite as nice as...More

This place is more exquisite than Niagara, I'm telling you. It's intensely beautiful. Wow, wow, wow. Oh wow. Plan to be there at least an hour to see it from lots of angles.

This place has lot of people and can be very crowded because there seems to be only one narrow path for people to see it. But you can see it from the bottom or top.

Another "must do" in Iceland. The waterfall is very powerful and you can see the volume of the water while walking nearby.there is a parking space and bathrooms around.

Easily accessible via the parking lot, Gullfoss is a must see for all Iceland goers. The waterfall is a beast which will help you truly appreciate the true power of Icelands landscapes.

We were on the Golden Circle EXPRESS tour which gave us 45 minutes there in very extreme weather. If the weather had been clear, we'd have wanted longer (not least to walk down the route that was closed on the day we were... More
