This waterfall was probably the highlight of my weekend in Iceland. I loved the power and beauty of the area. Looking at the waterfall and seeing it partially and the view of the whole thing amongst the cold, snowy landscape. I also loved the history...More

I so wanted to see this! Such beauty and power in an amazing setting. There is nothing not to love here. The sheer noise and power is incredible made better by seeing it in a snowstorm. There are different heights to view this from with...More

Visited this feature many times and the only way to describe it is breathtaking. The restaurant also does a classic hearty lamb stew.

Beautiful spot in a beautiful country. The scale of this waterfall makes it a must-see, and the drive to get there is wonderful.

Wrap up warm if you are heading here in winter. There is a small car park down the bottom of the waterfall, but it can be very crowded and if it snows you can get stuck(like we did). I recommend you go further up the...More

We stopped here on the golden circle tour and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing place in the snow, and on a sunny day it was magnificent. Very cold in the wind there make sure you wrap up and ice walkers are really handy. Great to see...More

The falls look amazing in the snow! The area is very tourist friendly and the cafe has great tasting food. The downside to this it that it can become extremely busy if a few coaches arrive at once and it can take away some of...More

Where are you staying? In which town? The Golden Circle is a must-see and it certainly is worth a detour.
