This is a must see. The falls are glacier fed and are extremely impressive.you can take the walkways and get fairly close to the falls. I can see why this is one of the most visited sites in Iceland.

This truest is a spectacular waterfall. In my option even better than Niagara falls. Amazing view points. Not to be missed.

This is a must stop. We were going to skip the Golden Circle while doing the Ring Road, but so glad we didn't! This waterfall is huge! One of the best gift shops at an attraction as well. Easy to find, easy to walk to....More

This waterfall is on scale with Niagra Falls, as it is enormous and magnificent. On the Golden Circle, it is a must see site.

These falls are giant. Of course, one of Icelands main attracations on the Golden Circle. The cafe on site has great lamb stew. Expect large crowds here.

Find a way to make it to this massive falls. While I know it is on most "tour" itineraries, if you are just renting a car - do make the drive. In fact, accessing it by car gives you flexibility to go during a more...More

I've been here three times over the years and it never ceases to amaze me in its magnificence. You can almost feel the power of the water and the energy it emits. A beautiful site.

Where are you staying? In which town? The Golden Circle is a must-see and it certainly is worth a detour.

We were on the Golden Circle EXPRESS tour which gave us 45 minutes there in very extreme weather. If the weather had been clear, we'd have wanted longer (not least to walk down the route that was closed on the day we were... More
