This was the last park of my trip, so after queen elizabeth and Bwindi it felt quite unimpressive. It is a small national park with few predators, but there are many antelope species, zebra, baboons, monkeys, and buffalo. There are also hyena and leopards, but I did not see any. I think this would be better as a first stop,... More

Went with our private tour guide (Yampa) and saw an incredible variety and abundance of land species, including giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of antelopes (impala, taipi, elan) not present at QE National Park. It was amazing.

I recently visited Lake Mburo National park which is just 3 hours drive from kampala. We did not stay at any hotel but pitched our tents on the Uganda wildlife authority grounds. We did a boat ride on the Lake and this was great with breath taking views of the sunset on the Lake. The shores are endowed with buffaloes,... More

Wow !!! It was so great. It was my first time to see so many zebras. From the entrance gate, you are welcomed by grazing zebras. If you love zebras, this park is definitely the place to be. The zebra are in hundreds. They really looked amazing. I was so excited because it was my first game drive as a... More

Nice park, very uncrowded lots of good animal sightings including the recently re-introduced giraffes and this is the only place in Uganda to see Zebras. I'd recommend a boat trip on the lake especially for the bird life with lots of fish eagles, king fishers and the rare African Finfoot

This is a lovely, if relatively small National Park about a 4 hour drive from Kampala depending on the traffic. We first visited about 3 years ago in the rainy season - this time the Park was very dry as the rains had not arrived. The park is not fenced and my concern is that of encroachment - the numerous... The park has amazing views, a diverse wildlife but we felt, as this was our last park of the trip that we should have started here. After the gorillas, the chimps, the lions and the great boat trip at Queen Elisabeth NP, Mburo just felt "to quite". My advice, start your Uganda trip at Mburo, don't finish it here, it... More

The horse rides we had are very favorable for both family, individuals, couple. We great bike rides in the park made our day incredible, the game drives in the park were to die for, not forgetting the boat.

Lake Mburo is actually one of the smaller national parks of Uganda. It is a special place though. Some animals can only be found there. While driving our safari van through the park, together with our guide we found zebras, many different species of antilope, and even the very shy Eland antilope. We also saw giraffes, these are recently introduced... More
