What a find, lovely to walk around, admiring the quaint harbour buildings with fishing boats in the foreground. Easy to spend a half an hour walking around. Lovely seaside village.

The harbour is beautiful and there was a huge rainbow when we arrived. Parking is free and it is great to walk around the whole of the harbour wall. Really worth a visit on a nice day.

We had a day visit to Stonehaven but recommend the Station Hotel in Stonehaven. Trips to Balmoral castle when it is open and Dunnottar Castle should also be considered.
