A pretty harbour like many others on the Scottish and Irish coasts, several restaurants and pubs in the immediate vicinity. Limited parking and the public toilets could do with a good cleaning. There is a safety training facility for the offshore industry in the harbour....More

We had a day visit to Stonehaven but recommend the Station Hotel in Stonehaven. Trips to Balmoral castle when it is open and Dunnottar Castle should also be considered.
