Samaná has one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dom. Rep. We went snorkeling with the kids, that was an unforgettable exprerience. Then passed the rest of the day relaxed at the beach. We bought delicious fish at a reasonable price. Totally recomended.

I would take "caribe tours" to Samana and a guagua for the rest. I don't think it's a good idea to drive there. We did it this way and everything went fine
