Secluded beach accessible only by trail or boat. I do recommend doing the trail part as it is more rewarding and you'll have a lot of fun!

To reach this secluded beach you need to hike about 1.5 miles from the end of paved road. Well worth the hike! Absolutely stunning small beach, there is a cave and plenty of rocks to explore. Right in the middle of the cove, about 50 m from the shore nice coral reef and rock formation with lots of fish. Locals actually come and fish right from the rocks. Only one sad thing: trash and particularly plastic trash.

After a 45 min. walk through the country side of Las Galeras up the hill from beach side down town we found Playa Madame.
This is a beautifull place which you can usually only see arriving by boat for a lot of money. The walk was safe and everybody enjoying the nature on ist own feets with good shoes (no Slippers) can do it.

on the way back from the breathtaking playa Fronton, we stopped on this amazing beach in the middle of nowhere. I guess it's part of a tour so most people go there on the way back to Las Galeras. It's beautiful, isolated, it's gorgeous. There is a cool little cave in the mountain, So if you have a flashlight bring it with you. I recommend doing there early so you're the first ones there. The sea can be rough on the way there, but the place itself is completely protected from the waves and wind.

We went here twice: once on a horse ride tour; once on a diving instruction tour. On the first occasion there were three other couples; on the second occasion we were alone. It's a nice little beach. One of the locals showed us the path to a lookout point on the left end of the beach (facing the sea). A shame about the rubbish that is left behind. This is a general problem (of tourists) in DR.

Normally tourists arrive at this beach by boat but I went together with a local friend by foot and I loved it! We needed 1-2 hours for every route and we left very early in the morning. When we arrived at the beach there was no one and we could enjoy the crystal clear water undisturbed for two hours. The beach was very clean and there is a small Taino cave next to it.

Went to this beach on a boat out of Las Galeras. It is very private and a fun beach to spend an hour or two.

I went for a run from Las Galeras to Playa Madama. There is a lot of vegetation on the path and ground is sometimes rocky and uneven (especially close to the beach), so remember to take proper shoes. The beach itself did not strike me as being particularly beautiful, though it is peaceful. Unfortunately there was a lot of garbage looking like left by previous visitors.

Please note that trip there can be dangerous. A couple from the place where I stayed was robbed from everything by men armed with machetes and this was the second case in just a couple of weeks. Having seen the place I do not consider it to be a top place to visit, but if you still plan to, please check with your hotel / host on security issues.
