This is sometimes a difficult trail because of the numerous rocky beach walks. The rewards are awesome but just make sure that you are prepared with the proper equipment. Hiking boots, not low shoes, and trekking poles with rubber tips are highly recommended. The rocks...More

The trail follows the coast in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and it provides beautiful views of the coast. Note that several sections of the trail are rated as 'difficult'.

We really likes Neil’s Harbour, the lighthouse is no longer functional and now houses an ice cream shop, and the Chowder restaurant was closed when we visited, but there are some fabulous views from the cliff tops, and the harbour itself was offering a mooring...More

This was a beautiful trail! A mix of forest and coastal hiking. The rock beaches were the most challenging part, which we were a bit unprepared for. Either bring hiking sticks or find beach wood before you get to these parts. Some rocks are unstable...More
