This place reminds me of Thomas The Train! Wonderful experience. The place however needs to be kept clean and need good guides with good history knowledge.

It is worth stopping at the National Railway Museum if driving through Kadugannawa. There are a number of old engines and carriages easily visible from the road if the museum itself is closed.

It's worth to visit there if you have some free time on the way to Kandy or Colombo. Better for School children

The exhibits outside the Museum were interesting. Were not able to see the museum inside as it was closed. The exhibits outside were really interesting. The museum is adjacent to the railway station. The museum is on the road from Colombo to Kandy.
