The mountain cone reaches 836.5 m above sea level and is the highest mountain in the Czech Central Highlands. Milešovka is exposed mainly to the western current and can be very windy here. The trail to the top is not long, but you can get sweaty because it is steep. The easiest point to start the ascent is the village of Milešov, near the playground there is a parking lot and info panel about the area. Only in Czech but with QR codes for German and English. The return trip is about 6 KM / 90-120 min. Follow the red tourist sign. From the top of the mountain there is a stunning circular view of the distant surroundings. In 1905, a meteorological station was established at the top. The station is not operated by the Institute of Meteorology but the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, part of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. At the top, the lookout tower is closed during our visit, despite the favorable weather. Restaurants and emergency accommodation available. On weekends and nice weather it gets busy.

due to typical forest trees České Stredohori is great place for visit when leaves change their colour in the autumn. we visited Milešovka, as the highgest peak around. at the top you can climb a view tower or get some refreshement in panoramic restaurant.
tip for hillwakers - také a train to Žim, walk through nice forests and meadows, pass through cute village Bilka with modern chapelle (iniciated and realized by locals), climb and enjoy Milesovka with its great round view. Change to blue mark and proceed on to Velemin train station. good 12 kilometres in beautiful countryside with excellent connection to Prague.
Trail is well marked (red mark to Milešovka, blue mark to Velemin) and perfectly visible, bring good walking shoes, camera and may be binoculars.

To get on the top is not easy :-) You climb on 3 kilometres walk from elevation 370 m to 830 m. It is really for tourists, from the other hand, I met there families with small children or older people. When you are on the top, you can sit in a small restaurant or in the yard. For very small fee you can visit meteorological laboratory with observation tower. The price for adult is just 30 CZK (little bit more than 1 EUR). Nice trip! If you leave your car at Milešov, you need 1:15 - 2:00 hours to be at the sky.

For a visit of Milesovka hill, drive from Prague on D8. Take exit Velemin a than 1km behind a horizon of the main road leave to Bilka village on the left hand side. There is a parking (work days for free, weekend 50 CZK/2 EUR). From parking lot to the top it´s about 1hour. Milesovka is a highest vulcanic hill of Czech Republic and, last, but not least most windy place in whole country. Then visibility is great, you can expect unforgetible views.
