google
Come and admire the Piton de la Fournaise in a private vehicle with driver: one of the most active volcanoes in the world.

The day takes place in several stages and will make you discover magnificent and unmissable places of Reunion. We will start with the Plaine des Cafres, a large high altitude plateau with green pastures, and then cross the volcano forest and its mysterious atmosphere. Let's take a break at the Remparts river to admire its vertiginous cliffs.
We will then cross the Plaine des Sables: a gigantic sandy expanse like one could find on Mars. Then we finally stand facing the volcano of Piton de la Fournaise. A one-hour hike is possible to access the Formica Léo crater.
On the way back, a visit to the Saga du Rhum or the city of the Volcano is possible.

Please note that our vehicle is comfortable and can accommodate up to 6 passengers. The driver / guide will know how to make you spend an unforgettable day.

A very modern and informative museum display covering all aspects of volcanoes on Réunion. It’s a pity that information and titles are only in French and that we were forced to get audio help at extra cost to get any real value. Tourism should be accessible by more than one language group. Non of the staff could help in any other language. A Long trip but worthwhile for the information gained.

In addition to what is said in other reviews, it is worth saying that there is a room for kids and toddlers (from 6 months up to 6 years) with toys, pool with balls, etc... Great for our 3-year one who enjoyed it. Located in the middle of the visit.

Very interesting museum that with many attractions explain the history of the Island with its Volcanoes, shedding light on volcanology. There is also a baby area, however the babies will be interested the same. Definitely worthy.

I found this exhibition interesting although it would be a lot better if they catered more for English speaking tourists. How difficult is it to display two languages. The 180 degree cinema was interesting and well done showing the formation of the universe, a 15 minute film worth seeing. As I was from NZ and White Island erupted a couple of days ago killing at least 13 tourists in the crater and seriously injuring many more, I was thinking of home on the other side of the world. It would be good if they could include something on our volcanic history as we also sit on the edge of two tectonic plates.
