There is a nice paved trail leading to the castle ruins. I went with my 5 and 8 year old and they did well. There are very steep hills most of the way, keep that in mind when taking kids or elderly. Nice views of Maniago, not much to the castle ruins, but well worth the visit.

Walking up to the castle remains, following the signs was fantastic. Stopping at various points to turn around and look at Maniago and relate it to the signs gave a great sense of how it used to be.

Went for a run up to this "Castle". Very fun run and very scenic views. Not much left of the castle. Small building up front that has a cross on top. And a wall that looks like what could of been the entrance to the castle. You can see all of Maniago from up there. Every few hundred feet you'll see signs explaining the history in Italian and in English. Highly recommend it.
