Via Mazzini has two churches. San Giovanni dei Battuti is found closest to the piazza. The other church, Santi Giuseppe e Pantaleone, is a bit south of the older one. It continues to hold regular services. It is airy and light inside, in lovely contrast to some of the gloomy interiors in other churches.
