Wow Waterfall
Nov 2019
We decided to visit Mae Ya Waterfall as our last activity for the day at Doi Inthanon. Coming down from Doi Inthanon, Google maps somehow led us on a rigmarole winding route through a village with narrow roads before emerging on a main road. Upon reaching the car park, it is a bit of trek in, first on flat road, then sandy, rocky terrain. You will then be greeted by the sight of a truly impressive tall waterfall with multiple cascades. It was well worth the journey to see it.

Amazing Nature - Don't miss....
Oct 2019
we visited Doi Inthianon national park,
and on the way out we decided to see this waterfall.

the way to it was very small and with a lot of curves - but after we reached the waterfall it was worth it!

we found a HUGE waterfall that was rolling down with big loud a vide sprey of water.
at that time it was rainy and we were titaly soaket - but we were glad we didn't missed it.

A beautiful waterfall to relax in!

This waterfall is less advertised as you have to enter through a separate entrance, and it's not on the route to the Doi Inthanon peak, but definitely worth a visit! There are a few food and drinks stalls with parking and toilets, and the waterfall is only a short walk through the bush with a few steps. It is huge, impressive and beautiful, many areas to sit it in the water and enjoy the natural scenery.

Hard to find. Impossible to forget!

My girlfriend and I went to Mae Ya after a trip to Doi Inthanon. It was getting a little late in the day and this place is out of the way, so we almost went home. I am certainly glad we went! The scooter ride to these falls was fun and what a reward at the end. This waterfall is the most spectacular I have seen in Thailand.

Wow! Stunning.

This is truly a breathtakingly beautiful waterfall. We visited on the same day as a drive up Doi Inthanon so we didn’t have to pay another day of national park fees - 300B/adult, 150B/children. It is around a 600m undulating but mostly concreted walk from the carpark to the waterfall. There were only a couple of food options in the carpark - nothing substantial. The toilets are clean and easily accessed at the start of the walk and nearby the falls.

We drove 2 hours there by moped. Worth it. The hike was super short and easy. We paid 620 baht to get in (300 per adult and 20 for the motorcycle) but it’s ok. When we got to the waterfalls we were very impressed. It’s so large and beautiful. Really glad we went.

Spectacular spot of nature

The falls, surrounding river bed and forest are lovely. Worth the effort to get there from Chiang Mai. Be careful to watch out for the green snakes near the river (poisonous vipers).

Amazing waterfall
Jan 2017 • Couples
This is one of the best waterfalls ee have seen in South East Asia. Really big waterfall and impressive. The road to get there is all right and the entrance fee is the same as to enter to the national park (200 baths).
