Used to be lovely. Uncommercial, simple, with areas of quiet, peace and tranquility. Not any more! I suppose still fun for families if you don’t mind crowds. But the money makers have got to it and turned it into yet another commercial enterprise. Wildlife has...More

Visited the Wendover Woods for the first time today. Plenty to occupy the kids and family. Nice cozy cafe with a new refurbishment presently being undertaken. Parking costs are reasonable. £2.20 for two hours £8 full day. Well recomend for a good day out. Doug

Went to the woods a familiar haunt for my family and was horrified. What have you done. There was a running event on, everywhere was muddy, huge queues to pay to get out! Atmosphere ruined. Large car park dominates the scene but ruins the feel...More

Went at the weekend with our 2 and 4 year old. The car park is a vast expanse of concrete which stood out like a sore thumb amongst the trees and nature, we did the gruffalo trail a few years back but it has been...More

Great out door space, amazingly large carpark and beautiful run down in to the woods, oh and then Up & Up again. It is a long, narrow road to reach the carpark, I did get nervous and nearly end up in a private club carpark...More

Hi Kathy, That's excellent to hear that you enjoyed your parkrun visit, thank you for coming. I hope the uphill wasn't too challenging and you rewarded yourself with a treat from the café for your hard work afterwards! Hope to see you again soon :)

What was once a lovely, quiet place is becoming very commercialised and is expanding dramatically. We had a hot chocolate and a mocha in the cafe and they were awful, much to thick, bitter and not dissolved properly. Going downhill unfortunately.

Lovely place for all ages inc young children and dogs. We’ll sign posted walks and end up at the cafe for all sorts of eats and hot drinks. Pay by the hour car park. Go ape for young people and adults.

We are very lucky to live nearby. In the past we used to pay to park at the top. I was put off by the amount of people there, but once you hit the trails you hardly see anyone. Most visitors are city folk who...More
