The food and service were terrible. The cost was high. The bread was literally half-frozen. No vegetables were served with the main course- eg no potatoes. The puddings were mean and took a long time to arrive. We're wondering if the chef was off sick....More

The food and tea were very flavoursome. The service on the particular Sunday we visited was dreadful. We had to wait 45 mins for the food and a further 45 mins to be asked how we were doing and if we wanted any more tea....More

We spent a couple days in the historic castle! Walked the grounds and the old church on the property. We stayed in the tower and it was great, be sure to explore behind the hidden hallway.

I agree with the others you can view and recommend a cream tea. If you are in that area The Amberley Museum is really worth a visit we only got there late in the day and wish we had more time, loads to see and do.

There is ample parking available so should not be a problem. The car park is situated approximately 100m from the hotel reception.
