Cocktails on the lawn before dinner, beautiful on a lovely sunny evening! Dinner was amazing, with lots of different treats along the way in between courses, a really special evening!

I love the West Sussex countryside and lucky to have so much on my doorstep, but sometimes you over look what is so close, so I decided to take my sons lovely girlfriends out for afternoon tea at Amberley Castle for one of their birthdays. They asked it it was a special occasion when we booked and said "Birthday". I'll... More

the afternoon tea is very poor for the price. £30 per person for a few bland sandwiches and miniature cakes left a lot to be desired. One of our party doesn't do hot drinks so asked to swap the tea for a glass of orange juice for which they added £5! to the bill. My advice is to visit the... More

Myself and 2 friends had booked for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a recent 50th Birthday. The castle and grounds were absolutely stunning and the dining room had been laid out with white cloths, cutlery and individual tiny pots of jam and cream etc. This was my third visit and previous trips had been superb, so I had very high expectations!... Fabulous celebration birthday lunch with friends. A complete dining experience from the aperitifs served in one of the day rooms to the superb 3 course meal in the great hall upstairs. Authentic antiques spattered around the rooms and stairways, and the bathrooms are to-die-for! The food was deliciously displayed and surprisingly filling and exquisitely tasty.

A 60th dinner party and we were looking for something a bit special and I'm delighted to say that we found it at Amberley Castle. My party of 12 were greeted with champagne and canapes in the glorious gardens. We all managed to get our picture taken with Bob the white peacock - a must for anyone visiting Amberley Castle.... Negative points: I informed The Castle when booking that a member of my group had dietary restrictions and was amazed when offered only egg sandwiches! surely they could be a little more imaginative. Car park too small for the venue with no overflow parking. Positive points: Stunning Castle in wonderful location, beautiful gardens and staff very warm and welcoming. Afternoon... More
