Fantastic village with the authentic village houses, happy Sumba originals, children and families. More women work traditionally. From the viewing arena there is the most beautiful view.
In the various areas of the city, tomb monuments have been established to commemorate the elderly and the dead.

Some houses are renovated by next generation. Thoughtful.

Definitely worth a visit. ⁇

Praijing Cultural Village is a beautiful place in West Sumba, Indonesia, known for its traditional houses and rich culture. The village shows how the Sumbanese people live, with unique homes that have tall roofs and ancient stone tombs. Visitors can see local weaving, ceremonies, and experience the friendly people. The village is surrounded by scenic hills, making it great for photos and learning about Sumba's traditions. I like Praijing more than Ratenggaro Village because it’s not as dirty, feels more unique, and you’re not chased by children asking for money.

This is a good place to observe the traditional village life.
View from the hill is very good.
You will find animals in the "basement" level of the house. The 2nd level is where the humans stay, but you will sometimes find special pets here as well.
Be prepared to pay a fixed entrance fee.

Keep it as it is and better not to add any new “foreign” constructions to the village. Village burning mitigation have to be introduced to the village as to refrain from village burning whic very often happen in Sumba

It's very beautiful here, from the traditional houses to the grave stones which are very religious and the vibes are so relatable...
