if you are visiting Pondicherry than its a must visit..roads from pondicherry till here is very nice...go for Govt Authorized boats only...offer the boatmen extra money and he will make sure that your ride is a beautiful and enjoyable...

We recently visited this place from Pondicherry and it is 2hour drive. Frankly speaking it is worth and beautiful place ever seen. Kindly use row boat and njoy the ride at most.

Row boats are driven by an experience forest department employee. Earlier there were provisions to get down from the boat to explore near by places but now they don't allow for security reasons.

Lockers not available ; plan travel with minimum things. After all , it is only a site visit from a base , say , Chidambaram. SRINIVASAN SUNDAR
