Try is place once, cheap and best. Visit in the morning or evening to avoid sunny experience. Just 12 kms from Chidambaram, roads are good, boating is cheaper, worth visit

This is a pristine place and worth the time and effort. The mangroves are beautiful and with some additional money paid to the boat guy..they will take one to right inside corners which are otherwise impossible to see.

Drove a car from Pondy to Pichavaram using google maps for directions. Reached the place easily after couple of hours drive. Took a rowing boat for 2 hrs costing 380. Better to reach by 10.00 AM, as it gets really hot later in the day....More
