The Second Temple To Brahma

The temple hidden away fro the main roads is just grand. This is the only temple (as for as I know) in Tamil Nadu which has a unique sannadhi for Brahma

Unique, but not worth a detour
Dec 2017 • Family
This is a relatively small temple, but we didn't have any problems locating it as almost every person in town was familiar with the temple. There were two differentiating elements about this temple - Brahma as everyone else pointed out, and the fact that it's a Sourashtrian Vaishnavite traditional site.

Pros:

* Priest was interested in providing a clear, detailed history of the temple
* Pretty old temple (about a 1000 years old, per the priest)
* Not very crowded, peaceful environment
* Uniqueness about Brahma's shrine and Yoga Narasimha in Rudra form

Cons:

* I'm all about vibrations and personally, I couldn't connect too well with the place
* You need to pay to see Gayathri's face behind Brahma (we didn't pay), which is outrageous, given that people visit this place to see Brahma
* Accessibility is pretty tricky, given that the backstreets are pretty narrow (you can still access the temple by car through the road facing the temple, but it does require some extra driving around if you are coming from downtown)

In essence, if this is a temple on your way to some other place or if you are staying close-by, it's definitely worth a visit. If not, I personally don't think it's worth the detour.

A must visit if in kumakonam or tiruchi
Mar 2017 • Family
This is one of the very few temple for brahma. It is a very small temple which is an hour from tiruchi. There is a believe that visiting this temple and placing your horoscope at brahma feet will change your luck for the better. Before entering the temple one is suppose to light 36 oil lamps and place it in front of brahma at the right hand side of the
temple. The lamps are sold in front of the temple. Make sure you bring your family horoscopes as well .

A rare temple dedicated to Lord Brahma
Mar 2016 • Couples
We had visited this temple located at a walking distance of 1 km from MahaMaham tank during our vacation in Kumbakonam. We were staying in a hotel near the tank and used Google maps to locate this temple which is located in the by lanes. The temple is a small one with decent architecture where we saw idols of Lord Brahma along with Gayatri mata and Saraswati. The priest performed a small puja for us which was really nice.
