We met Adelina during our escape in Florence on the last day of 2012. Not only are her paintings refreshing, but what makes them even more inspiring is the poetry behind each of her pictures. Adelina has a story for each picture that she will passionately convey. We ended up buying 6 pictures that look simply exquisite.

The Art Studio of Adelina Quadri is a lovely store in the small hillside town of Monticchiello. The original watercolours feature scenes of the surrounding countryside as well the beautiful red poppies that grow wild in the region.
Like others we met in Monticchiello when we visited, we couldn't resist buying a couple of Adelina's beautiful works from her son Francesco who runs the studio.
We were even more surprised to find that the wonderfully restored building that houses the studio also contains great accommodation run by Adelina's family. Can't wait to return.

Quaint, little art gallery specialing in water colors pictures of the local countryside. The artwork displayed would be great for yor, hall, kitchen or sitting in a china cabinet.

I take this opportunity to remind our guests who there is also a shop in Monticchiello, Piazza San Martino n°3 near Pienza "Art Studio Paintings Adelina" you must book a visit by contacting Francesco, by phone, by sending an email or skype username "lacasadiadelina". So you can have it all the time to choose the watercolors that you like. Do not hesitate to contact us.

Adelina's studio is in the centre of the beautiful hilltop village of Monticchiello. Her watercolours of the surrounding Tuscan countryside are just stunning - I have visited twice and twice could not resist coming back with some of her artwork, they really are beautiful and well worth a viewing. Francesco, her son, runs the studio and is extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend going there if you are in the area.

This is a charming small gallery with very special and original water colours, and is worth visiting. Please note that a few of the reviewers mention Adelina on or near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy but the actual art gallery is in the small village of Monticchiello (Piazza San Martino, 3) not very distant from Pienza in the Val d'Orcia area of Tuscany, and an appointment is requested, as they are not always open! The little village is really the best thing to do here...just wander and sit and look....but we did go to this studio and bought several pieces of her work...her husband's studio is next door and their adorable son, Francesco is available to help you select your pieces...they are lovely water colors...wish we could have bought more...but only so much room!

we love these small original watercolors of houses, hills, flowers and tree groves. Our daughter sent us a small piece as a gift so we wanted to look up the artist while we were recently in Florence. Such soft loose watercolors that represent the true colors and feelings of the area. So glad we were able to purchase a few more small paintings for ourselves and as gifts. We were able to meet Adelina too. A wonderful treat.

Amidst the chaos at the Ponte Vecchio I came across Adelina - she had such sweet paintings of Tuscany I couldnt resist choosing a trio to bring home to remind me of our wonderful trip. Dont miss her just across the bridge on the left!

During our trip across Europe, we came across a lot of artists selling their work on the street. Some are higher quality than others (you'll find that many are lovely, but are often masking taped to hand-cut mattes which can be a bit uneven).
None of that here - Adelina's art is some of the highest quality we saw. Her use of color is fantastic, managing to evoke the Italian landscape even as she uses hues like bright pink, purple, and orange in some of her paintings.
We picked up two paintings - a smaller one for ourselves, and a larger one for our in-laws - and she even offered us another painting for free from a collection of watercolor flowers. Her prices were very reasonable, and now we have beautiful paintings to remind us of our time in Italy.
