The diving was amazing, although the equipment was heavier than normal due to the steel tanks. The sea was awesome and the instructors were too. Unfortunately, the weather was bad so we only got to do 1 dive instead of 2, but the workers let us pay only half the price with no problem. This is a good thing to do when you are an open water diver (like me), but I saw that you can just go like a beginner to swim around with a snorkel and observe the octopus and then try the diving gear. I recommend this a lot even for smaller children (I'm 11 and it was amazing) and for adults.

I really hope this review helped you and that you will use it.

Although this dive was my first free dive (I have an Open Water Diving exam) it was very good. The staff were very nice and helpful. I had no problem with the equipment as well. I recommend this diving center to people at every experience level. I will definitely come back to here.

Great experience. We enjoyed discovery diving from start to finish. It was a pleasant surprise at the beginning when we were invited for coffee. And the rest of the time with the guys from the PONGO'S diving center went the same way. I highly recommend trying it out when you visit Primosten. And guys from PONGOChalani, thank you very much for that day.

A large group of us dived with Pongo the first week of September. They have recently moved to Primosten. The weather was really bad the first day and we had a terrible time. I know the weather isn't under control of the dive centre but I think they should have not taken us out. Unlike boats in the UK they are not set-up for bad weather. In fact the boats were really poorly equipped. Subsequent days were really poorly organised. One day we turned up and none of the cylinders were filled which meant a 2 hour delay (they could have asked us to turn up later rather than hang about. The owner of the centre wasn't present all week. There is a steep flight of steps from the centre to the water - which means lots of cylinder humping and not much help offered. Diving was very average and not very exciting for novices as there is nothing to see at shallow depths. The only reason I haven't given the lowest rating is the guys working there were really friendly - but not organised!

I wanted to go diving for a really long time and finally had a chance to do so this summer at Diving Center Pongo. Laurent Clavier (367892) was my diving instructor. He was patient in explaining things and took time to do all the skills the right way. He is an excellent instructor. I had a chance to dive with Xavier and Mario who also work at Pongo who were great too. Overall I had a very pleasant learning experience and chance to see some interesting things under the sea.

Nice shop with coffee + tea and a lot of equipment for the divers.

I try to dive for a first time because Croatia seemed really great for scuba diving. I've been really disapointed about my dive teacher.
I've dive with the latino guy. It was so quick to do the dive that I haven't time to enjoy. After maximum 10 minutes (I had my watch with me underwater...), he brings me back to the boat. We stayed so close to the boat that it was ridiculous. I was able to see the boat at any moment during the dive. I felt great underwater and I wanted to enjoy again. I felt like a number and he only wanted to go to the next discovery very quickly finish the job. This dive teacher was talking and laughing only when the boss of the shop was there.

Some others peoples were with another guy, a young boy, and they stayed for a long time (double than me) and they had time to go slowly and to see a lot of things. This one was really more friendly and with a lot of patience.

So, if you're diving there, I hope you'll not have the same dive teacher that I had...

Really enjoyed diving with Pongo Diving Centre. Staff all very friendly and knowledgeable and they took us to some great dives - lots of wrecks about, including the JU87 Stuka, which is amazing.

Having dove in two other locations in Croatia (Trogir + Solta, Crikvenica), I can say that Primosten/Rogoznica area offers very nice diving, a lot of wrecks for the fans of these. Very special was a night dive on the Fisherman´s Friend (wreck). If diving is one of you key factors, go for Rogoznica/Primosten and for DC Pongo. Mario and his crew were very friendly, showed us different locations and I felt safe going down with them. I would give them 5 points if there were not the rental gear problems. Friend of mine experienced some problems with the rental gear, nothing life endangering, and everything was identified out of the water and replaced with a reserve gear on the boat. But still, it should not happen two times in a week of diving.

My 10 year old son did the PADI Junior Scuba Diver course at the Pongo Diving Center. He very much enjoyed the whole course and particularly also how the instructor (Laurent Clavier) teached him. I know that it is not easy to teach kids Scuba diving, especially also if it is in a foreign language for them. Laurent however achieved that he fully understands everything, can fully practice the skills and even more important, has extreme fun and pleasure in doing so. He gave him a unique experience that my son will for sure never forget anymore in his whole life. I really very much appreciate all his efforts and I am sure that any diving centre can be proud of having Laurent as an instructor!

A big thanks to Pongo Diving Center and especially to Laurent!

My fiancé and I spent four days at the Pongo Diving Center to do our PADI Open Water course and it was an amazing experience. We used to dive once in a while while on vacation before but never came around to complete our Open Water course until this summer in Croatia! The diving center PONGO is really professional and welcoming at the same time. We were lucky to have been learning from and with Laurent Clavier! At all times we felt safe and well taken care of. The course was very detailed and not rushed! We had plenty to learn and time to practice and train above and under water. Laurent spoke both French and English fluently so we were at ease using our mother tongues! The equipment was well taken care of and the diving sites a real pleasure. We can strongly recommend Laurent as your diving instructor (367892) and the PONGO Diving center as a place to learn. If I could give one recommendation for improvement: the PADI open water course book should be offered as part of the course! We had to return the learning material at the end which is not ideal.
