About
We offer a wine tour dedicated to natural wine-making and to the discovery of how to produce wine with full respect for the environment and its land. After a walk through the rows of grapevines farmed according to biodynamic methods we reach the courtyard - during wine harvesting here it is possible to see open pan vinification - and the vinsantiera (the place where the fine dessert wine Vinsanto is produced). We then arrive at the cellar and enter the barique cellar, where our red wines are stored to refine. Each step is accompanied by descriptions and extra focus on the topics by enologists and sommeliers of the Cosimo Maria Masini, who will be pleased to answer and satisfy any curiosity. The visit then continues to the garden of the villa which has famously seen among its residents the families of the Buonaparte and the Ridolfi, in particular Cosimo Ridolfi the founder of modern agronomy and of the Accademia dei Georgofili. The tour, which lasts for about 1hour and a half, concludes at the NOW Shop with wine tasting (our own wines) combined with the chance to savour some local products. Wine tours should be booked in advance.

Cooking Class
Jun 2019 • Friends
I had the opportunity to take a cooking class here this month and it was wonderful! The entire experience was top notch. Maria kindly guided us through each step of the preparation as she told us more about the food. All of us were able to participate as much or as little as we wanted. After all of of our work in the kitchen was done, we gathered in the dining room to enjoy the food and to taste some of their wine. What an experience!!!
I highly recommend a visit to Cosimo Maria Masini if you are in Tuscany. And, I hope to return one day myself.

My family of four had an amazing experience at Cosimo Maria Masini winery! The views were breathtaking, including views of the country, the estate and of course the vineyards. Lots of fun (albeit the record heat) in the kitchen with the owner of the estate, Maria, where my family all cooked homemade pasta, sauce and dessert, and afterward eating our meal with their wine in an exquisite setting. I couldn't recommend this experience more highly - our family has a new friend in Maria and memories to keep forever!

Visit for a wine tasting experience
Jul 2019
A lovely experience worth passing by. In the beautiful scenery in the middle of the gorgeous wine region around Pisa we came across this beautiful estate. The price we had to pay for the wine tasting was more than worth it. The combination of the salami and truffel cheese with the excellent bio wines made this experience complete while sitting in the garden with a beautiful view over the Hills.

Best experience ever!!

It was a happy accident that we found this place. We decided to take a spontaneous detour on our way to Pisa to explore natural beauty of the Tuscany area. As we were going up on the narrow lane of hills, our car tire went into a ditch!! We found ourselves stranded in a foreign place with noone in sight. Who knew we were the lucky ones to be outside this beautiful winery which makes wines with biodynamic method!! The owner and the wine maker were so gracious to invite us to their place and showed us around while their people took our car out. The wine maker was very informative and enthusiasic person. We had opportunity to taste such amazing wines, fresh cheese and homemade breads. Hands down, the best experience of Tuscany!!! @ Pisa, Tuscany, Italy

Quaint and Fantastic
Apr 2019 • Family
Cosimo Maria Masini was a highlight of our trip. Yvonne was a wonderful guide, explaining the complexities of biodynamic wines, processes in winemaking, and the care and respect they give to the grapes. Our tour was followed by a great light lunch with tasting.

Every wine was great, but the Vin Santo was a great surprise. I'm not one who usually cares much for dessert wine, but this one was an absolute pleasure. Learning about the months-long process to complete this wine was wonderful.

Go here for a great experience and friendly faces, from the dog that led us to the parking lot, to the cat that greeted us outside the tasting room, to the lovely staff. Even our 10-year old says this was one of her favorite parts of our trip to Italy.

Thank you Francesco, Yvonne, and all the staff.

Lovely place with great biodynamic wine
Dec 2018 • Friends
I've been drinking their wine for a few years now, after having discovered them at a wine festival. It's a beautiful place, even on a cold, grey December day. They very kindly kept the place open late for us so we could tour the vineyards and have a tasting. Their wine is biodynamic and they made a number of different types of wine which should appeal to a variety of pallets. Definitely worth a visit (and buying a number of bottles to keep you company once you've left)

Great hospitality
Jul 2018 • Solo
It was a very special day for me with great food, wine and hospitality in the middle of a picturesque landscape.
Even if I just called Maria the day before and was on my one, she spend around two hours to explain me the biodynamic winemaking and the challenges you might observe.
It was super interesting and I enjoyed the given hospitality very much!
Very recommended!

Perfect winery tour
Jul 2018 • Family
We were so fortunate to have Yvonne give us a tour of this beautiful winery. Her passion for winemaking and the grapes really shines through. It was truly a magical afternoon where we learned all about wine making, tasted some great wine, and had a delicious lunch while looking out at a gorgeous Tuscan view. Highly recommended - our kids also had a fantastic time.

We'll be back
Oct 2017 • Couples
We had the absolute pleasure of staying for 5 days in the villa at Cosimo Maria Masini in October. It was a highlight of our trip, no question. We stayed enroute from Cinque Terre to Florence.

The location is spectacular - lush & picturesque. Close to amenities, yet romantically private.

The villa was charming, with laundry, three bathrooms and a fantastic pool. We paid to have the pool heated, and it was well worth it. It was a dream.

As far as activities go, we did a few small trips - visited San Miniato & San Gimignano. It is also close to Florence.

I recommend doing both the wine tour and the truffle hunt on site. We also had a traditional meal prepared for us at the villa. Do it. You won't regret it.

I cannot say enough about how fantastic our experience was here. The staff were lovely, and Maria was a worldly yet gracious host.

This is a true gem.
