Romantic ruins of mediaval castle in really nice vicinity. Partly on sandstone massive, partly stone walls and nice view of the surroundings from the tower. interesting rooms were cut in sandstone.

Great ruin of historical castle. Almost free entrance, great views, romantic for people who love medieval times. It is easily accessible from the road parking. This castle is not very famous, but it offers even more surprise and awe consequently.

It is awesome just driving around in these areas and search and find these attractions. So did Frydstein! It suddenly appeared after a hairpin in the road and was a lovely place to visit. Friendly host and a simple but nice climb for a wonderful view. Would visit it again.

it is not bad to visit this castle but and from outside it looks not bad. however when finally you reach the castle after 1.5 km trakking you would expect that you may enter it for free as there is Nothing inside beside stones. these are only ruins there so why to pay,,,,

Nice castle sure when combined with a visit to Mala Skala. Castle is renovated and is worth visiting.

We visited with our friend the ruins of Frýdštejn castle of unknown age. What is known today is a wide range of ruins attractions and an interesting view from there (see photo).
