This is one of the best beaches in Alentejo coast. The road is not paved but it's ok and there's a good parking with nice new wooden paths around the dunes and down to the beach. You can find two parkings and 3 different ways down to the beach. The beach is basically divided in two parts due to the rocks but you may pass in low tide from one to the other without coming up. If you go on a 4x4 you can go further in the road and park further ahead in the sand to find the less crowded part of the beach. In any case, Malhão beach is not a crowded beach but it may get quite packed in August weekends. If you go out of summer season the beach may be all for you! In Malhão there is no bar or restaurant any close on a walking distance but there's lifeguard from June to September. You can find toilets facilities on the parking. It's worth the visit.

The road to this beach is in a deplorable state of disrepair. Such a shame as you worry what damage is being done to your vehicle. Lots of money has obviously been spent on the massive car parks and lovely boardwalks. Surely money could be found to repair the road. However, the beach is truly stunning and lots of nice walks /cycle tracks. For such a large car parking area couldn't see any toilet facilities.

No words can make justice to this pristine beach. No restaurants or bathrooms and that’s just fine. Bring a picnic and leave only footprints.
