interesting - could make more of the story

this was interesting but I found myself struggling to remember the tales for my partner who knew nothing of the Brahan Seer; more information would be useful

The Brahan Seer was allegedly a mystic who could foresee the future by looking through a hole in a small white stone. Unfortunately, he gave an unwelcome prophecy and was burnt in a tar barrel for his troubles. There is a moral in there somewhere.

We went to Chanonry Point to see the Dolphins again. Since we was here last year the point has had a makeover. In my opinion the carpark may look 'pretty' but it is smaller than previously! There are now 2 disable bays when 3 cars could actually park in that space, still enabling disable people to get in and out... More

This is a simple stone monument with a couple of signs giving a clear explanation of what its about, its the setting of Chanonry Point that is the attraction, and worth it, see separate review!

It was just a big stone which was set in concrete at a car park. The pupils of the local school put it there in the 70s to commemorate the burning of a local mistic at the behest of local aristocracy 200 or 300 years ago.

More than the monument and the story behind it, what we loved was the splendid looking lighthouse nearby and the view. Unbelievable sunshine for a Dec day.

Just a plaque but it is on Chanonry point where you can watch the local Bottle Nosed Dolphins. Check out the review for Chanonry Point.

Windy walk around Chanonry Point, great for getting rid of the cobwebs. No dolphins tho'. Wasn't aware of the Brahan Seer story until I came here.

We visited this by accident. It was the location and views of the area that drew us. The monument itself is underwhelming with little extra info available on hand regarding the seer directly.

If you like scary history stories then the fate of the Brahan Seer is once to learn and you get a brief version at the monument
