This year i got a chance to attend volunteer programme at Finca Tungasuk. This was an exceptional experience.
The owner Annabelle and Alfredo are super nice people. Very friendly and speaks really good english so communication was very easy.
They also have pickup and drop off service from havana to the farm and back for a very fair price of 30 CUC.
You get a nice fresh brekafast in the morning followed by the work you were supposed to do and then the best lunch ever cooked by Annabelle using fresh farm produce.
I never had this good lunch before. the cost is around 20 CUC
If you don't want to work there you also have option of only having lunch there.
Annabelle replies to all email very quickly. So you can also send your requests to her by email.
The farm itself is very beautiful and big . All farming is done organically.
I had the best day there.

Finca Tungasuk is a beautiful family, organic estate farm, allowing travelers and volunteers to spend a day with a wonderful family learning about Cuban/ Caribbean/ South and Central American culture, history and horticulture. Located about an hour out from Old Habana, the owners make it simple, affordable and a one of a kind experience for all interests.

From the first Facebook message with Annabelle to the entire day on the farm with Alfredo, my friends and I were warmly welcomed. It was well organized and we were prepared beforehand with what materials to bring, and a driver was set up to pick us up from Havana, who was right on time. The lunch was prepared while we were working on the field and it tasted AMAZING. The conversation with Alfredo was so nice as well. I loved this experience.
