30 minute drive west of Toledo. Not in any of the tourist guides and should be because its stunning! Can walk to the viewing spots, 4km there & back from car park or drive there.

Beautiful scenery and views, certainly worth a visit. When you initially get to the fork of the paths or near view of the water, you can take walk to the left, which is a bit longer, but the views are beautiful - though would advise caution as the path winds around edges of cliffs. If you have smaller children running around or fear of heights, take the path to the right, where you yet big but more distant views of the cliffs along and across the waters, the path is wider and has safety barriers from the viewing spots.

Unless you rent a car or have a car it is very hard to access! But it is a definite must see if you have the opportunity. It is nice to get out of Toledo and see the mountains and the canyon. The trek itself to enjoy the views is very light !

Las barrancas are an amazing experience and one that is not well known yet. There is little advertising of them on the road but it is worth a visit. The views are spectacular looking down on the Tajo. There is a lovely walk around the top of them with some viewing points. Bring a camera as you will get amazing pictures. If you are close to Toledo or Talavera de la Reina go see these.
