We were surprised by the outlay and different products available in a friendly atmosphere. Some items expensive, so compare and negotiate with vendors for better prices. Would recommend that all shops must be open for 7 days a week.

It is breathtakingly beautiful. The Hartbeespoort area reminds me of Camps Bay in Cape Town. It is honestly beautiful and the houses overlooking the dam; just ah-maz-zing! I can only dream of having a holiday home there! Lovely restaurants, yachting and cruising is available there....More

Great view. Just watch out for the hawkers, they will not leave you alone. No much place to park and feel safe if you want to walk on the dam wall. We had to take photos while we drive.

I've travelled over the Hartebeespoort Dam wall on 19 October 2017 on my way to Magalies Park. What a special feeling to see how the water is running into the river from the dam. The road is planned so that you drive over the dam...More

lovely views & lovely area, worth a visit to the waterfront if you're able to. Shame they have such a weed problem in the water, hope they manage to sort it all soon. Still a lovely place to visit & listen to the frogs :)

Hadn't driven the road over the dam between Kosmos and Pecanwood for six months and was shocked to see that the Hyacinth now dominates the west side of the dam for as far as one can see. Feel sorry for all those with property adjoining...More

There is accommodation all around the dam. The best would be to search for the best one depending on your budget requirements. Ty different websites.
