An enjoyable 90 minute drive from Sydney the NSW Rail Museum provides an insight into a bygone era. They had two active steam trains providing tours, and three other active steamers on rail platform available for tours. Great day with plenty to see.

What a great place! We visited during the week... not many others so we could explore with relative ease. The memories... Oh the memories. Every possible loco and carriage use by NSW rail since 1855. The Governors carriage would do me now, it's so nice....More

Takes forever to get to, and while getting there the museum hasn't change for years. Very little improvement and very little change, all trains are still in bad shape, the museum offer less activities nowadays than before, restore and preserve less trains than before, operate...More
