This place actually a great place to see Mount Fuji, but the day I went was cloudy. Next to this place, there are rest area and a food village.

This place is a great stop for something to eat and then a short walk for a nice view of Mt. Fuji. The food was quite yummy and quickly made.

Seeing Mount Fuji is often the number one reason to be in this area. The Asagiri plateau offers a stunning view of the western side of Fuji. There are lots of things to do around here too!

They revamped the restaurant and it is much nicer now or you can choose to much on goodies provided by the outdoor vendor. Excellent views of Mt Fuji and also of the paragliders flying near the other mountains/hills nearby. There's also a children's playground/park adjacent to this facility

The Asagiri Plateau is richly utilized for its pasture land and many dairy farms are situated along it. The elevation of the plateau is generally around 800 m (2,625 ft) or 900 m (2,953 ft).

Asagiri Kogen is also home to one of the most spectacular Hang-gliding and Paragliding sites in Japan. With the backdrop of Fuji-san providing breathtaking photo opportunities, the site is extremely popular with both international and Japanese pilots alike.

the whole area is nice. we come out often to get away from Tokyo. quite pleasant. there are farms, golf, lakes, great views of Fuji-san. also as you get close to the border to yamanashi-ken, narusawa village, great fruit and vegetable stands.
